Rob Slowik
Music Director

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Rob studied music at Eastern Michigan University. His eclectic career as a trumpet player includes work on over 40 Broadway Shows, most recently Hello Dolly and Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour. Rob has worked with Harry Connick Jr., Paul Anka, Ray Charles, Kenny Rogers, Tito Puente, RBBB Circus and several Motown Groups. He has also been Musical Supervisor and Musical Director for Carnival Cruise Lines. Rob joined The Big Apple Circus in 1998, became its conductor the following season, and became the circus’ Music Director in 2000-a position he has held ever since.
